New Year’s Eve Batch Cocktail Recipe

Cheers to the New Year! With 2017 coming to a close, it’s time to reflect and celebrate while looking forward to all the possibilities that 2018 may bring. And of course with New Year’s Eve come toasts, cheers, and clinking glasses at midnight. If you’re hosting a party this New Year’s Eve, take our advice: avoid mixing cocktails individually. Go the batch route so that you can actually enjoy yourself rather than mixing and shaking drinks individually. Holiday Meats with Nick Macri of La Divisa Meats

Tis the season for hearty slow-cooked meat! December is almost here so that means it’s time to start planning those holiday feasts. I went to Reading Terminal Market to talk to a meat expert who also has great experience with family feasts and rich traditions. Frequent COOK instructor Nick Macri (aka Meat Man Macri) of La Divisa Meats comes from a Calabrian family, which helped shape his butcher shop. Heard, Chef! Seafood Suggestions from George Sabatino of Aldine

When you’re working in a fast-paced kitchen, communication is key. When the chef gives out directions, there’s no time for conversation. You simply respond with, “Heard, Chef!” In this COOK series, we’ll be bringing you all of the wonderful, tips, tricks, and secrets that we’ve heard during our classes. This month, we’re sharing some great tips for preparing seafood courtesy of George Sabatino of Aldine. During his Seafood Shindig class this week, George prepared five courses of delicious seafood and along the way, he shared tons of tips for making the most of our ingredients. We were particularly impressed with his preparation of shrimp and sardines and we thought we would spread the word!
