Chef Chip Roman is one of Philadelphia’s most exciting and talented young chefs. He is the proprietor of Charles Roman Catering as well as Roman Restaurant Group which is comprised of Blackfish, Mica, Ela, The Treemont, Tradestone Confections and Tradestone Cafe. Each of his establishments has earned tremendous critical acclaim, due to Roman’s classic culinary influences, combined with his inventive, modern interpretations of classic fare. Roman graduated from Drexel University in 2002 with a business degree in the culinary arts, while at the same time worked his way through the ranks at Chef Georges Perrier’s venerated Le Bec Fin, later leaving only to join Marc Vetri at his eponymous restaurant.
