A self-confessed nerd of all things related to food, wine, and technology, Ryan became interested in cooking relatively early, due to his mother’s extraordinarily bland cooking (yes, she knows he says this). While going to school for IT, he ended up following his love of delicious food by managing a restaurant where the owner was very interested in wine. Learning a little bit from him, Ryan quickly developed a passion for wine, soaking up knowledge wherever possible, and traveled from Central Pennsylvania to NYC on a weekly basis to complete his Sommelier certification. During his years in restaurant management, Ryan had the opportunity to work with some great chefs, learning as much as he could about food along the way. Following his passion for wine led him to his current role, where he now spends his days around downtown Philadelphia, selling wine to restaurants…or drinking for a living, depending on how you look at it. In his free time he provides technology consulting for startup restaurants,writes complex Excel format, and relaxes at home with his two rescue pitbulls.
