Co-Owner, Rival Bros. Coffee Roasters
Chef Jonathan Adams was born and raised in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. He passed on culinary school and instead opted for working for some of the best restaurants in the city: Deux Cheminee under Fritz Blank, Brasserie Perrier under Chris Scarduzio, Salt under Vernon Morales, Marigold Kitchen under Steven Cook and then Michael Solomonov. From Philadelphia he apprenticed at the 2 star Michelin rated Mugaritz in San Sebastian, Spain and landed a job as part of the opening team of Gilt by Paul Liebrandt in the New York Palace Hotel. After a year in New York, he returned to his hometown to open Snackbar, a forward thinking, small plates restaurant. From there he joined Ed Hackett and Dan Clark in building The Pub and Kitchen, a lauded gastropub, and The Diving Horse, a seasonal BYOB in Avalon, NJ. In 2011, he opened Rival Bros Coffee Roaster with a childhood friend to bring the world of cooking and coffee roasting together.
