Chef-Owner, The Avenue Delicatessen
Laura Frangiosa began her love affair with the culinary arts at the age of four. Her mother, a former Home Economics Teacher, nurtured and encouraged Laura’s love of eating and cooking. Young Laura spent Saturday mornings and afternoons watching her heroes, sometimes in cartoons but also on PBS cooking shows. As a life long Philadelphian, she committed herself to learning every part of the business from waitressing and bartending to becoming one of the lead sales people for Samuels & Son Seafood and Wild Flower Bakery. Prior to becoming a resident chef at COOK, she was the catering coordinator for Whole Foods Market and worked the line at Bistro La Minette. She is the owner of Fare is Fare Catering & Consulting and The Avenue Delicatessen in Lansdowne, PA. She resides in South Philadelphia with her chief taste testers, her husband Josh and Dixie the dog.
