Ned Maddock is from Wayne, Pennsylvania. He graduated from The Shipley School in Bryn Mawr in 2003. After graduating from University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI in 2007 he relocated to Chicago, IL. Ned became inspired to start his professional career here. He began to work his way up in the kitchens of several James Beard award winning chefs (Mindy Segal of Mindy’s Hot Chocolate and Stephanie Izard of Girl and the Goat). He continued to work for several years as a sous chef before moving back home to Philadelphia. His experience and attention to detail quickly earned him a spot at Amis Trattoria as Executive Sous Chef under the guided talent of Chef Brad Spence. After a brief time as the Chef de Cuisine at XIX resturant, Ned has taken over the Chef de Cusine position at Brigantessa on East Passyunk Ave. With his love for rustic Italian food this has proved to be the perfect home for him.
