Class Recap: Eating Armenian with Fimy Ishkhanian of Apricot Stone

Apricot Stone just opened up in Northern Liberties this passed winter and we were excited to have Chef Fimy Ishkhanian join us this weekend to give us a taste of her Mediterranean BYO. Take a look at what she prepared for us!

To start, we enjoyed Fimy’s grape leaves and cheese boreg served with pita and hummus. as7Our second course, Armenian Manti, was a real treat not only for how delicious it was but for the how time consuming it is to make. These tiny beef dumplings are laborious according to Fimy but the end result was well worth the effort!

as5For the third course, we had a fresh fattoush salad served with pita chips.

as4And for the main event we were served a chicken kebab with Persian rice. In a stunning display of skill, Fimy was able to flip the rice for us to show off the perfectly golden, crispy layer that forms on the bottom of the pot.

as3as2as1It’s safe to say that we were all stuffed by the end of class. Be sure to stop by Apricot Stone for a delicious meal!
