Audi FEASTIVAL Month at COOK

Au revoir, July. Bonjour, August. Or should we say ‘bonjour, Audi FEASTIVAL Month.’ Either way you say it, we’re particularly excited about the upcoming month of classes. Not just because the classes themselves are sure to be spectacular, but because each class brings us one meal closer to the main event: the 2013 Audi FEASTIVAL. If you’ve been living under a rock for the past three years, let us bring you up to speed. Co-hosted by Stephen Starr, Michael Solomonov and Audrey Claire Taichman, FEASTIVAL (now in it’s fourth year) brings together 85+ of Philadelphia’s top chefs for one night to benefit FringeArts. Described as a “completely delicious and amazing” evening and named “one of the best events in the last decade,” FEASTIVAL celebrates both our artistic and culinary scenes – two great economic engines that push Philadelphia forward.

Hi July! Space Still Available for Select July Classes

First things first: our August class schedule will go on sale next Monday, July 8 at 2pm. So mark your calendars and polish up on your page refresh skills à la “The Social Network.”

Cheese-101 at Home

Missed Saturday’s Cheese-101 class at COOK? Well, here are the “deets” on how you can recreate the 10-cheese tasting in your own home.

This past Saturday, Di Bruno Bros.’ Emilio Mignucci was joined by cheese blogger and now author, Tenaya Darlington (AKA Madame Fromage), for an exceptional tutorial in cheese tasting and pairing. Emilio and Tenaya, who wrote the new Di Bruno’s textbook on cheese, “Di Bruno Bros. House of Cheese: A Guide to Wedges, Recipes, and Pairings“, have been out promoting the amazing cheese tome and doing special tastings across the region.
