Class Recap: Hands On COOKery with Becca O’Brien, Robin Admana and Sandy Trinh

There were plenty of shenanigans going on in the COOK kitchen this past Tuesday evening when Becca O’Brien of Two Birds Catering and Robin Admana and Sandy Trinh of Foolish Waffles came in for a hands-on cooking experience. The trio brought all the basic ingredients needed for some festive Mexican cookery and looked on as the entire class took part in preparing the meal.

We kicked off the night with some light snacking – homemade tortillas, pico de gallo, and guac! After breaking up into teams of four, the entire class got involved as they prepped, cooked, and dished out 3 courses including chicken tinga tostadas, tilapia ceviche, and enchiladas verdes and rojas with the choice of chicken, chorizo, or shrimp. Finally, everyone took a break to enjoy the fruits of their labor while Robin demonstrated how to prepare flan. Guests even got to dish out an extra helping of dessert to take home.
