Tomorrow night, COOK officially opens its doors with Une Soirée Avec Georges Perrier.
Philadelphia legend, culinary godfather and my dear friend, Georges Perrier, will prepare a delicious selection of culinary delights for a group of 16 guests in our sparkling, new kitchen-classroom.
Perrier has been busy lately with the recent opening of his thoroughly renovated Le Bar Lyonnais, now called TRYST, the downstairs bar at Le Bec-Fin. TRYST is now open Monday-Saturday starting at 5:00 PM and the French small-plate menu includes not one but two foie gras dishes, nine beers including the local Yards IPA and the Belgian La Chouffe.
His evening at COOK will feature four courses paired with wines selected by Le Bec-Fin’s sommelier, Cristine Bruno. We are delighted and grateful to Chef Perrier for being our inaugural chef! Merci beaucoup, Georges!
Thanks also go out to our opening night guests who purchased this experience at June’s Ball On The Square – the annual black tie gala that benefits the Friends of Rittenhouse Square. The proceeds from the ball went to improve the Square, COOK’s beautiful “backyard”.
Stay tuned to our blog for notes on our evening.
