Our friends from Spoonful Magazine and Green Meadow Farm teamed up with Chef Sam Jacobson of Stargazy for a very special event at COOK last week and the menu was something to fall in love with. Green Meadow farms will be featured on the cover of Spoonful’s Fall issue and delivered fresh ingredients for a fall meal in addition to a wealth of knowledge. To implement this menu, they had some help from Chef Sam Jacobson. For the rest of the evening, guests enjoyed a four course meal as we talked about all things farming, cooking, and shopping for the best seasonal produce. Check out this amazing menu!
To start, we enjoyed smoked polenta finished off with some fresh dill which was followed by the most gorgeous plate of blistered kabocha and squash we’ve ever seen!
Things heated up a bit for the main event which was bistecca alla florentine with Lancaster-County grass-fed beef. It was accompanied by potatoes and fresh rosemary-delicious!
After this hearty meal, we were just about to throw in the towel. However, this last dish had us practically licking the plate! The fourth course was apple galette with burnt caramel whipped cream and, yes, we all got seconds of that whipped cream.
