The August 2013 issue of Philadelphia Magazine marks the publication’s 40th Best of Philly® issue. A veritable smorgasbord of the best restaurants, shops, exterminators and so on that the region has to offer, this year the gang at the mag is celebrating their Philly favorites by throwing the bash of the summer on August 20th at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. (For the first time in decades, this party will be open to the public.) Guests will come together to experience the region’s best food, best drink, best entertainment and most compelling personalities.

Over the past month, Philly Mag has arranged 40 Best of Philly® events and promotions around the region — exclusively for their readers — all involving past or current Best of Philly® winners. COOK even hosted one: our monthly “Open Stove” cooking competition featured former and current “Best of” winners/Italian chefs Joey Baldino of Collingswood, NJ’s Sicilian BYOB, Zeppoli, and Joe Cicala of East Passyunk Avenue’s homage to Abruzzo, Le Virtu.  The party on August 20th is the culmination of the mag’s events celebrating the 40th anniversary milestone and we wouldn’t miss it for the world!

Tickets are available online. General Admission tix are $75 while the $125 VIP ticket includes: early access to the party (6pm), access to the Mercedes-Benz VIP lounge with appetizers, special gift-bag giveaway and access to the after-party.
