Holiday 2018 Pop-Ups: Machine Shop Boulangerie & Aurora Grace Chocolates

Better get started on that shopping if you haven’t already! Baked goods, chocolates and candies make “sweet” holiday gifts for anyone left on your list.  That’s precisely why we’re hosting two holiday pop-ups. This Sunday, December 16th from 10am – 2pm (or until sold out) Machine Shop Boulangerie, a South Philly French-inspired bakery, will have fresh breads and pastries for sale at COOK. Then, on Friday, December 21st from 11am – 3pm (or until sold out) we’ll have Aurora Grace Chocolates in to sell fresh pastries as well as chocolates and macarons.

Besides being great gifts, these treats and breads from Machine Shop and Aurora Grace are great additions to any holiday feast, with no kitchen hassle for you! We will be serving hot spiked beverages during each pop-up to get you in the spirit of things while doing some gift shopping (or treating yourself). Speaking of holiday shopping… our 12 Days of COOKmas sale is still underway! Check out below which items are 20% off during each pop-up event and learn more about Machine Shop Boulangerie and Aurora Grace Chocolates.

Katie Lynch and Emily Ridell of Machine Shop Boulangerie will be at COOK showcasing and selling their delicious baked goods. Katie and Emily partnered up to open their own wholesale bakery in the South Philadelphia BOK Building. Each of them bring extensive baking knowledge and experience to the table as well as traditional French techniques. This is apparent in their viennoiserie, Viennese-style baked goods made from a yeast-leavened dough. As Philadelphia natives, Katie and Emily are proud to use grains from Pennsylvania milled in-house, as well as wild yeast from Philadelphia. You can find Machine Shop’s baked goods in a number of local cafes and restaurants, such as Elixr Coffee Roasters, ReAnimator Coffee Roasters, Menagerie, Res Ipsa and more. Luckily for you, this wholesale bakery will be popping up at COOK this Sunday, making these coveted breads and sweets available for purchase direct from Katie and Emily!
