Niepoort Nat Cool Branco (Portugal)
From the Vinho Verde region of Portugal, this is a pet-nat that references the cloudy wines of the past which were bottled with residual sugar and fine lees, re-fermented in the bottle. A blend of Azal, Arinto, Avesso, Trajadura and Loureiro, it’s fresh and vibrant, with citrusy and vegetal notes. With high acidity, a light carbonic sparkle on the palate and a saline finish, it’s a refreshing pet-nat that’s almost too easy to drink. Perfect for picnics, park hangs and day drinking!
Bodegas Parra Jiménez “Gulp/Hablo” (La Mancha, Spain)
A certified organic blend of Verdejo and Sauvignon Blanc, this gulpable orange wine has aromatics of orange blossom and jackfruit, leading to apricot, citrus peel and grapefruit on the palate. Medium in body, fruity yet dry, it goes down easy! Pairs well with salad, fried food and Asian fare.
Familie Bauer Rosé (Austria)
Bauer’s 100% Blauer Zweigelt Rosé is fresh and crisp with delicate sour cherry aromas and herbal notes. If you’re a Provence style rosé drinker, give this one a try!
Gustavshof Vom Berg Riesling Trocken (Germany)
Produced on an organic estate by a husband and wife team, this is a unfined and minimally filtered dry Riesling. Made from grapes grown on the highest hillside in the Rheinhessen region, Vom Berg offers tons of apples, ripe peaches, honeycomb. A clean, medium bodied and majorly refreshing Riesling to enjoy with sushi, spicy dishes, Thai cuisine, pork or chicken sausage.
Brunn Blauer Zweigelt (Austria)
Just north of the Danube resides the small family owned and run winery producing Brunn. The old estate vines produce low yield with high quality grapes, which are harvested 100% by hand. On the nose, you’ll get bright cranberry and rose bush. On the palate, black raspberry, a bit of barnyard and cracked black pepper. This is a glou-glou chillable red wine that is perfect for grillable fare – chicken, anything barbecue, plus brisket and pulled pork.
