We felt like getting a little silly for Sunday brunch this week, or as Robin Admana and Sandy Trinh would put it, a little foolish. You guessed it! Foolish Waffles served up four courses of deliciousness, and it was no joke. Take a look at some of these amazing plates!
Brunch started with a “basket of goods” consisting of chocolate cherry scones, buttermilk biscuits, and donut muffins with maple butter. While we attempted to pace our way through that course, Sandy walked us through the waffle making process. Afterward, Sandy demonstrated how to properly poach eggs and cure your own lox, key components in our second course, ‘wagel’ and lox. The general consensus? We’re going to start ditching our bagels in favor of a waffle next time. How could we have a waffle-centric brunch without the classic chicken and waffle combo? Thankfully, Robin and Sandy delivered. The sausage gravy on top really set this dish apart.
Finally, just as we were teetering dangerously close to the edge of our food comas, the Foolish Waffles duo served up something to completely send us over the edge – a sweet and salty waffle. How can you say no to a waffle with whipped cream and caramel!?
Check out Foolish Waffles’ website to see where they’ll be in the coming weeks. You’d be foolish not to.
