NOMADICA
Nomadica is a collection of vegan, low sulfar canned wines, thoughtfully curated by sommelier Kristin Olszewski. All wines are sourced from vineyards with responsible farming practices, and winemakers who engage in low intervention wine making with no chemical manipulation. CORK now carries three Nomadica selections: Sparkling White, a blend of Chardonnay with a touch of Muscat with lively notes of citrus, nectarine and melon with a touch of salinity; White, a California Chardonnay with bursts of green apple and lemon blossom, balanced with almond and vanilla; and Red Blend, a 100% Barbara blend that evokes juicy black raspberry, black cherry, oolong tea and a heady herbal hint of mint and bay leaf.
LUBANZI
We’ve stocked the red blend and Chenin Blanc cans from South African producer Lubanzi for quite a while now. New to the bunch is Lubanzi Rosé Bubbles, a refreshing sparkling rosé. Dry, saline minerality, balanced acidity, and a palate that is crisp and tastes of wild cherries and ripe summer strawberries.
A TO Z WINEWORKS
Another sparkling rosé can, this one from Oregon producer A to Z Wineworks. Made from 90% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay, it’s pale pink in color with juicy, ripe fruit aromas. Notes of strawberry, raspberry, watermelon, cherry, white peach, nectarine and apricot are joined by white flowers and a hint of creaminess, all balanced by a refreshing acidity that leaves you wanting more.
VINA MAITIA
Vina Maitia’s Aupa Pipeño is a refreshing chillable red blend of Pais and Carignan. Pipeño refers to the traditional winemaking method in Chile that dates back to the 16th century. If you’re a Gamay lover, give this one a try – it has a young, fresh vibe but there’s a earthy tone that keeps it interesting.
PAMPELONNE
Pampelonne is a line of wine-based cocktails that is inspired by St. Tropez beach with the same name and the unique sparkling rosé that people imbibe there. The goal: create a sparkling wine cocktail with fine French wine that is light, crisp, and not too sweet. Pampelonne’s French 75 is a twist on the classic with aromatics of juniper, Meyer lemon and spicy bergamot. Elderflower rounds out the finish. La Pêche is an homage to famed Venetian bars; there’s flavors of white peach and fleshy nectarine with a tinge of lime and honeysuckle.
