Everything’s Coming Up Rosés at CORK

This weekend’s forecast calls for rosé! With temperatures on the rise and Memorial Day weekend around the corner, the time has arrived for us to embrace the official wine of summer – rosé. Although we believe that rosé should be enjoyed year round, CORK has expanded the rosé section for the season. Check out our new additions below and stop by CORK daily between 11AM to 8PM to shop pink. Wine may also be reserved online for curbside pick up.

While you can pick up all of these rosés to take home or to a picnic meetup, you may also buy a chilled bottle (or can!) and enjoy it at one of our outdoor café tables!

Sauska Villány Rosé 2019 (Hungary)
Made from indigenous Blaufränkisch along with Merlot, Kadarka, Pinot Noir and a touch of Syrah. Shiny salmon pink in color with breezy wildflower aromas. A full palate of raspberries, watermelon and wild strawberries with a refreshing finish.

Holden Manz Rothko Rosé (Western Cape, South Africa)
Pale rose in color, dry and fruit driven, Rothko is made in true Provence style with Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault. On the nose, it’s delicate with perfumed rose petals and grapefruit. On the palate, it’s crisp yet creamy with a long finish. The aging on this selection has brought a layered and savory flavor. Fantastic with oysters!

Francois Ducrot Solange Rosé (Languedoc/Roussillon, France)
Certified organic, 100% Merlot, aromatic with floral, grapefruit and exotic fruit notes, along with some gentle minerality.

Milenrama Rioja Rosado (Rioja, Spain)
Mostly Garnacha with a splash of Viura. On the nose, fresh peach and raspberry. On the palate, it’s soft and silky with juicy red fruit at the end. Serve with tapas, seafood and light pasta dishes.

Bodegas Ponce “Las Cañadas” Rosé Bobal (La Mancha, Spain)
A natural, organic and biodynamic blend of Bobal and Alilla with floral, mineral and red fruit aromas. Dry and medium-high acidity, it’s refreshing with raspberry and strawberry notes. Enjoy with roasted branzino, Punjabi-style palak paneer and crispy pork carnitas.

Ganeta Txakoli Rose (Basque Country, Spain)
A natural, vegan Txakoli made from 100% Hondarribi Beltza. Dry with citrus and wildflower aromas, as well as a sea breezy salinity due to the producer’s close proximity to the Atlantic. Very refreshing with a touch of watermelon juice on the finish. Pairs well with tapas, and it’s perfect for seafood.

Red Tail Ridge Winery Pinot Noir Pet-Nat (Finger Lakes, NY)
Hand-harvested and minimal intervention! On the nose: strawberry, cranberry and hints of mint. On the palate: frothy bubbles bring tart strawberry, rhubarb, more cranberry, as well as orange pith.

On the go? Canned wines are perfect for outdoor gatherings, and CORK carries three canned rosé options: Ramona Sparkling Rose (available in 4-packs), RUZA Rosé and Scribe Una Lou Rosé.

These additions join our collection of year-round favorites, including:
Scribe Pét-Nat Rosé (Sonoma, CA)
Duckman Sparkling Rosé Pét-Nat (Portugal)
Days Of Youth “The Diver” Rosé (California)
Podere Giardino Lambrusco Rosé (Emilia-Romagna, Italy)
Lusenti Fiocco di Rosé (Emilia-Romagna, Italy)
Rene Geoffroy Rosé de Saignee Brut Champagne (France)
Lamoreaux Landing Dry Rosé (Finger Lakes, NY)
Sun Goddess Pinot Grigio (Friuli, Italy)
La Patience Rosé (Rhone, France)
Château des Ferrages Rosé (Côtes de Provence, France)
Familie Bauer Rosé (Austria)

Speaking of rosé, check out Istine Rosé Vermouth, a Sangiovese based sipping vermouth that drinks like a bianco, fruit forward with some floral and fresh herbaceous notes, with a pleasant bitter-sweetness on the finish.
