The Philadelphia farm and food festival is just a few days away so get your tickets if you haven’t already! The event, which takes place at the Pennsylvania Convention center on Saturday, April 8th, is drawing in talented farmers and chefs from around the region- including many of our COOK regulars! These dedicated craftsmen are going to be doing cooking demonstrations as well as continuing the conversation surrounding sustainable farming.
Among these artisans will be some of our COOK regulars including Nick Macri of La Divisa Meats, Heather Thomason of Primal Supply Meats, George Sabatino of Aldine, and Shayna Marmar of Honeypie Cooking. The event, which will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m, will be bringing in more than 150 of the area’s accomplished farmers and chefs to inspire you to support local business and cook up a storm in the kitchen!
Stop by the PF3 Kitchen to see George Sabatino show us how to sous vide vegetables. Or look out for Heather Thomason when she stops in to show off her butchery skills and break down an entire hog!
If you love cheese, then you’d better stop by the Curd Convention! David Katz, owner of Honeygrow, will be whipping up a few classic Honeygrow dishes with cheese and yogurt.
Do you have kids? No need to find a babysitter, a COOK favorite and owner of Honeypie Cooking, Shanya Marmar will be running the Kids’ Corral. There will be furry animals to visit, activity tables courtesy of the Please Touch Museum, and sausage making with Nick Macri of La Divisa!
There’s so much to learn at the Philadelphia Farm and Food Festival. We hope to see you there!
