Winter Whites

When winter sets in, it’s natural to opt for red wines. While we have plenty of reds to warm you up over the coming months, don’t miss out on these winter whites from France, Armenia, Lebanon and Georgia! You’ll love their textural, full body that holds up to rich wintry meals. Shop in-store daily from 11AM to 8PM or reserve online for easy pick up.

Zulal Voskehat
Made from Voskehat, Armenia’s most well-known variety. During the Soviet era, it was used as a base for brandy, but with the Armenian wine renaissance in full swing, Voskehat is making a comeback. Heady aromas of peach blossom and apricot lead into Alpine herbs and marzipan. Enjoy alongside roasted pork, as well as bulghar and rice dishes.

Jacques Charlet “Les Vieux Murs” Pouilly-Fuissé
Gorgeous white Burgundy, partially aged in oak. An elegant and round Chardonnay, held in balance by minerality and acidity. Green apple notes followed by a buttered toast finish. Pairs with roast chicken and trout amandine.

Domaine Overnoy-Crinquand “La Bidode”
Organically produced, hand harvested Chardonnay from the Jura region of France. Full bodied, honeyed and orchard fruit notes with a persistent, mineral driven finish. Try it with Comté and Raclette cheeses, anchovies, sausage, sauerkraut and sea bass.

Chateau Musar Jeune Blanc
The Jeune Blanc blend is a vibrant expression of Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley. Viognier provides a perfume, Chardonnay brings richness, and Vermentino compacts the wine. Full bodied, but not heavy, this wine is a natural pairing for Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food.

Teliani Valley Amber Blend 2019
Wild card here! Though made from white grapes, Teliani is a skin contact (aka orange) wine made from indigenous Georgian grape varieties. It presents a beautiful amber color, aromas of dried apricot and orange peel, and flavors of dried peach and baking spices. If you’re new to the orange wine world, this is a fantastic intro! Serve with poultry, braised pork or creamy pasta.
