New (and Returning!) Wines for the Weekend

Just in time for the weekend, we’ve added an Austrian skin contact wine, a chillable glou glou red and a canned piquette. Plus, two returning selections in case you’ve missed them! Read all about them below and then shop in-store daily from 11AM to 8PM. If preferred, reserve online for easy pick up.

Huber Kontrast Natural Wine Skin Contact
An Austrian blend of thirteen grapes – Grüner Veltliner, Chardonnay, Riesling, Müller Thurgau, Sylvaner, to name a few. Part of the wine is fermented with the skins, so this one’s a semi-skin contact selection. A delicate nose of cinnamon and herbal tea, it’s bone dry with chalky texture, racy acidity and a long salty finish.

Las Jaras “Glou Glou”
California Zinfandel, Carignan, Petite Sirah, Mourvèdre, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon come together for the ultimate food wine. It has enough acid to stand up to your favorite tomato sauce, as well as intense berry notes that perfectly complement the char of a burger or a well-cooked pizza crust. Aromas of hibiscus, raspberry and wet rock are followed by flavors of black plum and pomegranate. Serve slightly chilled!

Two Shepherds Maxzilla Piquette
Little can, low alcohol, big fun. A California sparkler made from Carignan grapes that’s bright, dry, fresh and zippy. If you miss summer, crush a can (or two!) of this!

They’re back…

François Ducrot Auguste
This is a medium-acid skin contact blend of Grenache Gris and Grenache Blanc from Languedoc-Roussillon. Floral and stone fruit on the nose, all of which repeat on the palate. A lovely, easy-drinking orange wine.

François Ducrot “Saint-So” Cinsault
Another returning selection from François Ducrot! “Saint So” is a medium-bodied, soft-tannin wine with aromas and flavors of purple fruit, spice and a hint of violet. 100% Cinsault is a rare find, so try this one out for something different!
