Class Recap: Philly Wine Week Dinner with Jason Brooke and Carlos Aparicio of Tredici

T8It’s Wine Week here in Philadelphia and COOK joined the festivities with a visit from Carlos Aparicio and Jason Brooke of Tredici who teamed up for a delicious and educational wine pairing dinner.

To start off the evening, we began with Tuna Crudo paired with Lucien Albrecht Cremant d’Alsace Rosé from France.

Next up were Chef Carlos Aparicio’s Chicken Meatballs with a Ginger Tomato Sauce paired with Melissopetra Gewurztraminer from Greece.

T4 T3What is an Italian meal without Gnocchi? Chef Aparicio prepared a delicious Spinach Gnocchi with Butternut Squash, Sage, and Brown Butter. Jason paired this dish with Trefthen Double T Chardonnay from Napa.

T6 T5For the main event, Chef Aparicio prepared some flavorful Moroccan Spice Ribs which were perfectly matched with Etude Grace Benoist Vineyard Pinot Noir from Napa.

For dessert, the evening concluded with a rich and beautifully-presented chocolate mousse.T1
