Snow Day Provisions

Snow or shine, we’re here with wine! No matter how many inches accumulate, we’ll be open with everything you need to make your snow day the best day – rich reds, cozy hot chocolate fixin’s and all the snacks. Shop in-store daily from 11am to 8pm or reserve online for convenient pick up.

WINTRY BOTTLES

So many wintry reds to choose from, but here’s a trio of options. Lagravera Onra Negra Catalunya is a Catalan blend of Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon with a round palate of black currant, blackberry, leather, cherry, spice, oak, and vanilla. From Piedmont, GiÀ Langhe Rosso is a dry, smooth, and well-balanced selection with an unmistakable almondy finish. Try it with meaty dishes.

Want something on the lighter side? Brand new to the shop is Scribe Winery Nouveau of Pinot Noir, inspired by the fresh and lively Nouveau wines of Beaujolais – juicy with notes of blood orange, raspberry and a hint of mint.

Want something a little different to sip on? De Muller Iris Dorado Vermouth may be enjoyed neat, on ice or with club soda. It has an intense, spiced nose of cinnamon and vanilla, with an herbal background of sage, rosemary, and licorice. A rich mouth follows with continued flavors of cinnamon and vanilla, complemented by layers of chamomile, laurel, and coriander.

For cider fans, check out Ploughman Cider’s Dabinett-Roxbury Russet, another new arrival. Dabinett, England’s most reliable cider apple, brings deep apple richness and a lingering toffee note to the finish. Roxbury Russet brings a tart freshness.

Doing Dry January? Check out our recent post of highlights, including Brooklyn Brewed Sorrel, a premium and complex brewed and aged beverage made with sorrel flowers (aka hibiscus), ginger, spices and sweetened with cane sugar. Smooth, sweet and spicy, it can be enjoyed on its own or as a mixer.

BLOODY MARY, ANYONE?

With a snow day Friday, the weekend is essentially here, which means it’s Bloody Mary O’Clock. We’re stocked with several mixers, including Toma, available in original and horseradish varieties, plus Filthy Pepper Olives and Cocktail Onions, Maison Marc Cornichons and Morris Kitchen Chili Salt for a spicy rim.

WHAT’S FOR BREAKFAST?

Start your day in a delicious way with a decadent breakfast. Pick up Teaspressa cubes for an instant Mimosas and Bellinis, plus Noble Barrel Aged Maple Syrup, honey and fruit spreads from Nicolas Vahé.

CHEESE BOARD ESSENTIALS
